Personal Care

Personal care is available for any daily tasks you may need support with, such as bathing, showering, applying creams and lotions, dressing and toileting, all in the comfort of your own home. Working to your regular routines, and ensuring that support is tailored to your specific requirements, a fully trained carer or support worker offers discreet and professional personal care in the way that’s most comfortable to you.

Shopping Support

If you are finding it hard to go to the shops there are services available to help you.We can take you to the shops to help you do your shopping, or alternatively we can come in, agree a shopping list, go to the shops, come back and put it all away. Not only this, a casual day out browsing your local shops can be an even more enjoyable activity when there’s someone to share this with.

Meal Preparation

Eating healthy and nutritional food is such an important part of staying well, especially for the elderly. If you are finding it hard to prepare your own meals, there are services available to help you. A support worker can help you in your home to prepare food or cook you a meal to eat immediately.

Medication Supervision

Assisting patients with their medication management. Ensuring a timely prompt for medication when due. Depending on the type of medication, our carers can come to your home to administer or supervise different medications. This can include eye drops, tablets, patches, creams or liquid medications. Some services offer reminder phone calls if you need help in remembering to take medications, while others provide training so you can learn how to administer medication yourself.

Domestic Tasks

Domestic Assistance provides help around the house with housework to ensure you can live well and safely in your own home. You can get help with everyday chores such as vacuuming, dusting, dishwashing, cleaning kitchen benchtops, washing and ironing, and cleaning wet areas such as the toilet and bathroom, either on a regular basis or as a ‘spring clean’, whatever the season.

Respite Care Services

If you are performing the role of principal carer, then you may need support during your time off each week. Benefiting both you and the person caring for you, this type of support can be as little as a few hours or can be several days or weeks. It ensures all your care needs are met while your carer attend to appointments or activities, see friends or even spends a few days away. It can be delivered in your own home.

Pampering Sessions

At Bloomcare Ltd, prioritising self-care is of great importance to our staff and our Clients. Promoting a culture of pampering and self-care among the elderly is an integral aspect of our services.  We can plan spa days for our Clients, where beauticians and chiropodists visit their home directly as an extra special treat. Encouraging older people to practice self-care activities and take the extra time to pamper themselves can be a fantastic way to promote self-worth through better physical care. This can make a huge difference to social lives and mental health.
